On May 15, 2026, Birhane Hiwot Sunday School will be organizing a Community Outreach Day — a chance to put our faith into action by serving those in need.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..." — James 1:27
This is one of our most beloved traditions. Students, teachers, families, and friends come together to serve the community around our church.
Activities on the day: • Distribution of food and basic supplies to families in need • Visiting and spending time with elderly members of our congregation • Organizing fun activities for underprivileged children in the area • Clean-up initiative in the church compound and surrounding neighborhood
How to participate: • Register your name at the church office or via our website portal • Bring comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities • Families are encouraged to participate together
All ages and abilities are welcome. Even small acts of kindness make a big difference.
