Deacon Tezerra Andualem
Sunday School HeadDear Students, Teachers, Parents, and Friends of Birhane Hiwot Sunday School,
It is with profound love and a renewed sense of purpose that I address you today as the Head of our Sunday School.
Unity is not simply a concept — it is the very breath of our mission here at Birhane Hiwot. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1). This unity — across classes, across ages, across backgrounds — is what makes our Sunday School a family.
Every week, our dedicated teachers pour their hearts and knowledge into shaping the next generation. Our students come with energy and questions, and it is our joy to walk alongside them as they discover the depth of their faith. Our parents partner with us in this sacred responsibility.
We are building more than a school. We are building a community of faith that will carry the light of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo tradition forward into the future.
My message to every student is this: You are not an accident. You are chosen. You are loved. God has placed a calling upon your life, and this Sunday School is one of the places where that calling is nurtured and shaped.
To our teachers and parents, thank you. Your sacrifice, your prayers, and your presence make all the difference.
Let us continue to walk together — in learning, in prayer, and in service — for the glory of God.
God bless you all.
